About the course:

Bioinformatics is an umbrella term which includes several sub-disciplines. Given that this course spans only 15 hours, spread over 5 weeks, only specialized content will be covered. The content of the course has been selected so that students and researchers alike who are beginners in this area, can become accustomed to the tools and methods available, in turn empowering themselves to carry out or compliment their existing research.

The course will be delivered in a simple manner, so that people who are new to this area can easily absorb the content delivered. There are no prerequisites to this course. A working computer with a satisfactory internet connection is required to attend the Zoom sessions. The hands-on exercises will be demonstrated, but students are not expected to undertake all of them as they require significantly high compute power.
